VOTE ON NEW LIBRARY FEATURES

If you were unable to vote for your favorite spaces in the new library either at the public meeting or for several days afterwards in the library, then you have another chance! There are many options for us  in a new library building - 19 in all and we want to hear from you!

Coronavirus Impact on Library

The Brown County Public Library District has made the difficult decision to close our library effective  immediately, due to the Coronavirus Virus outbreak and to limit the spread of the virus.  All programing and circulation activities will be canceled at least through April 7, 2020, with the hope of rescheduling our programs at a later date.

If you currently have any library materials checked out, the due date

will automatically be extended to a future date in accordance

with the reopening of the library.

We will be monitoring Local, State or Federal government direction and

will reevaluate our status on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.  Any questions may

be directed to the library by calling 217-773-2013.  Updates will also be

posted on Facebook and here on our website.

During this closure, we will not be receiving any holds from other libraries and  will not be filling holds locally.  During our closure, we ask that you continue to use our online digital services through Libby (Overdrive), Axis 360 and Hoopla.  All of these are available as apps on both the Apple Store (IOS) and the Google Play Store (Android).  If you  are new to these services and need any assistance with setting them up on your mobile devices, please call the library for assistance at 217-773-2013.
