Opening to the Public

GUESS WHAT?!

We're opening on Monday, June 15th during our regular hours!

Here's some things to keep in mind when you walk back through our doors:

-We are following phase 3 of IL's guidelines for reopening. Therefore, we will have a limit of 10 people (including staff) at once in the library

-Social distancing will be in place

-The library suggests any protective equipment that the patron may deem necessary for their personal safety including face masks, gloves, etc

-Curbside service will still be available to those who feel more comfortable using it until the end of June

-A sneeze guard will be up at the front desk and staff will regularly disinfect materials and surfaces in high traffic areas to maintain health and safety

-Patrons will have the ability to select and check out their own materials including books, DVDs, magazines, and more

-Patrons will also be able to copy, print, or fax as usual

-3 computers will be available for adult usage only, strictly to complete unemployment forms, IRS documents, or the US Census

-Due to the limit on allowance of people present at one time, the library strongly discourages lounging or loitering in the library at this time

-Homebound delivery service is still currently available for usage of patrons that are elderly or individuals who may not be able to get out to check out materials. Anyone interested in this service should contact Grace at the library at either grace@bcpubliclibrary.org or by calling

217-773-2013

-In-house programming will remain unavailable until at least July 31st.

-Virtual programming is still in full force including story hours, summer reading, crafts, and more which is all available on our YouTube page

The library staff is excited to open its doors to their patrons and serve their love of reading once again! They are appreciative of the community's kindness, courtesy, and understanding during this time and hope to continue seeing that support. We will see you on Monday!
