Brown County Public Library broke ground on the new library on Friday, October 27. The library board signed the contract with Lavaderiere Construction of Macomb after accepting its bid of $5,292,000 to construct the facility. Dewberry Architects of Peoria, which has worked with the project since the beginning, will oversee the administrative details of the construction. Lavaderiere has begun working on the project and estimates it will take around 12 months to complete.
